With the objective of encouraging hobbyists, breeders, traders and entrepreneurs, the Government of Kerala has been organising the annual event regularly over the last five years. As more and more people in the country recognised the exciting possibilities of ornamental fish keeping, the exhibition has been growing both in its magnitude and quality.

The Aqua Show 2003 to 2008, Kochi was a major event in the realm of Ornamental Fisheries inviting the enthusiastic attention of people from all walks of life. The exhibition provided a forum for interaction of ornamental fish breeders and traders and also for exchanging information about the recent trends in technology associated with this sector.
